      Read about our latest updates to Tarmika

      September 5, 2024:

      Since the August 19th release, we've implemented several swift improvements based on your feedback and resolved unexpected issues with the backend migration. 

      • Carrier Credentials [Resolved]: If you are trying to quote with a carrier who requires credentials and you do not have them loaded in your profile, the carrier will gray out and be unavailable for selection on the Markets page. 
        • To add in your carrier credentials for any markets that are not already added into your profile, please navigate to the Update Profile section of Tarmika to add them. 
        • Please note this is a temporary solution and we have plans to embed the required credential fields within the quoting workflow later this year.

      • Travelers Workers Comp [Resolved]: Travelers Workers Comp can now provide quotes through Tarmika.  
        • Please note that while the quotes shown in Tarmika are accurate, they are no longer bindable. To finalize your quote, you must click the "Access Quote" button in Tarmika and answer a few additional questions in the Traveler's system to get it to a bindable rate. This is a temporary solution, and we plan to revert to Travelers bindable rates for Workers Comp soon.  
      • Partial Name Search Functionality [Resolved]: You can once again enter part of an insured’s name to locate a quote, making it faster and easier to find quotes.
      • Duplicate Quote Returns [Resolved]: Some submissions were returning duplicate quotes from carriers for a single quote. You should now only receive one quote per request, eliminating any possible confusion.
      • Advanced Address Search [In Progress]: This search option allows you to find addresses that don’t come up via the standard search function. Please note that non-valid addresses result in rejected quotes, so ensure addresses are correct. We anticipate having this functionality restored very soon.

      August 19, 2024:

      Temporary Removal of Personal Liability, Commercial Auto & Excess & Surplus Lines  

      As part of the migration to the Ivans Distribution Platform, E&S, Commercial Auto and Personal Liability lines will be temporarily unavailable. These lines of business will be live again by the end of the year with upgraded capabilities for states and carriers. We understand this is an inconvenience for you and your staff looking to quote these lines in the short term, but please be assured the work we are doing to our platform will ensure that we can make changes faster and easier in the future, to provide more of the capabilities our clients are asking for.   View our updated carrier list by line of business here.

      Past Updates & Enhancements:

      • The Connector by RT Specialty will now display Package, General Liability, and Property rates for E&S coverage in the Business Owner's Policy workflow
      • Chesapeake Employers Insurance joined Tarmika went live with their Worker's Compensation integration
      • Tokio Marine joined Tarmika and  went live with their General Liability integration
      • CFC joined Tarmika and went live with their Cyber integration
      • Added additional underwriting questions to support Markel's Worker's Compensation product
      • Hanover released the capabilities to quote their BOP Advantage product in the state of NY & is now supported via Tarmika
      • Support the ability to quote a workers compensation risk in Tarmika where there are 0 employees
      • Removed the checkboxes at the bottom of the Line of Business selection page to make UI more intuitive for multiline quoting

      • Enable a FEIN validation within the UI. If an invalid FEIN prefix is entered in the FEIN field, the user will not be able to proceed with the quoting workflow.

        • Valid FEIN prefixes include:
          01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 68, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 98, 99.
      • Date of Birth for Owner Officers in a WC quote is no longer required within the UI.
      • Coalition joined Tarmika with their Cyber product
      • West Bend joined Tarmika with their Business Owners Policy product
      • Main Street America enabled additional states for the Business Owners Policy product 
        • Currently available for quoting in Tarmika in the following states:
          AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI
      • Cincinnati added additional state availability for their Business Owners Policy product
        • Currently available for agencies located in the following states:
          AL, AZ, CT, DC, ID, IL, MD, IN, MD, MI, MO, MT, NC, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, GA
