What business class should I select?

Our business class bar is built by Ask Kodiak and has 20,000 + class code options! You are able to search by NAICS, SIC, and keywords. We recommend you select the class code closest to the risk you are submitting the quote for.

Do we need to be appointed by a specific carrier to quote with them on Tarmika?

Yes. Agents/agencies must be directly appointed by the carriers they wish to access on the platform. The carriers on Tarmika validate each user’s appointment credentials (producer codes, usernames, passwords, etc.) to verify that the agent(s) are appointed with them when quoting.

Note: Agents are able to use Market Access Code Appointments, if their market access provider has partnered with Tarmika. *Additional approval by your market access provider may be necessary. 


Can you quote under service center codes?

Yes


When I send an email referral to my underwriter, will I receive a confirmation?

When you refer to the underwriter at a carrier, you (the agent) is CC’d on the email so that you can see the initial request and be copied on any response. 


Can we upload an ACORD Form to Tarmika?

No. You are able to generate pre-filled ACORD Forms for Business Owner’s Policy (BOP), Worker’s Compensation (WC), General Liability (GL), and Commercial Auto (CA).


Can I quote multiple locations on in Tarmika?

No. None of the carriers integrated with Tarmika support multi-location with their API call for BOP, GL, CA. Multi-location is supported for WC.

Tip: Enter your main location into Tarmika then add any subsequent locations within the carrier portal(s)

 

Do you take any commissions?

No. We’re strictly a tech company. Your only fee is your platform subscription, nothing else. 


How long do you keep this data in Tarmika?

Your quoting data is stored in Tarmika for 2 years. It is then moved to our secure data warehouse for 5 years.


If you change something in the carrier portal, does it go back to Tarmika?

No. We have a 1-way API integration with our carriers, which means that information will not come back into Tarmika once it’s changed in the carrier’s platform.


Does Tarmika integrate with any CRMs or AMS systems?
